We’ve had a lot of blonde hair tutorial requests lately so it’s about time we shared this look! Here’s how we achieved the blonde colour and styling for Charlie.
Colour Tutorial Part 1
Charlie is a natural brunette so it was important for us to focus on the root shadow and toning aspect of the colour process. Our blonde specialist Emma also had to work on removing old tint that was throwing too much warmth in Charlie’s hair.
We started with a full head of foils to help clean out the previous tint. Following the foils, we did some freehand pieces to add texture to the overall colour.
The root shadow at the basin was two parts 7, and one part 8.13 to soften the roots. We also didn’t tone the ends of Charlie’s hair to keep the colour variation and brightness.
Styling Tutorial Part 2
To style Charlie’s long bob, we used a medium wand and a medium hair straightener. We alternated sections of her hair throughout the styling process. Waving one section with the hair straightener then moving to the next section and curling with the wand.
Once the overall head was styled, we added plenty of Evo Haze Powder (available here) throughout each section. Evo Haze Powder is great for volume and texture when applied to dry hair. It’s the perfect product to add oomph post wash.
Finally, we straightened a few pieces of hair so that the overall look wasn’t to ‘done.’
