What do you get when you cross sailor moon and space barbie? The cutest double bun hair look for date night or girl’s night out. Our talented hair stylist Mia did the double bun hair do for a shoot with Unpublished themed “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”
We miss the days of cute hairstyles so we wanted to shake things up a bit and try something different.
Here’s how to get the Double Bun Hair do.
Mia prepped the hair with Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity and Powder Puff to create texture.
Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity is an oil free volumiser that increases body, shine and texture. The perfect product to hold your hair do in place.
Mia waved the hair with the cloud nine waving wand to enhance the volume of the hair and buns and create soft wavy pieces to work with.

Divide your hair into two halves with a zig zagged part line to create a messy “not so done” look. This is key as this style is not about perfection.
Tie each side of the parted hair into a loose pony tail approximately where you would like your buns to sit. We chose to go a little higher for this cute double bun look. Once done, pull the ponytails tightly to secure and create a messy look.
Gently tease each of the pony tails at mid lengths and ends and wrap loosely into a bun. Secure with bobby pins and don’t be afraid to let some pieces fall from the bun. Finish the double bun hair style by pulling some small sections of the hair out at the front of the part and along the forehead.
There you have it, the cutest double bun hairstyle courtesy of our hair stylist Mia.
So grab your girlfriends and hit up the movies. Eat a tonne of popcorn and pay a visit to Time Zone, because girls just wanna have fun.
