Model Charlie with soft pink coloured hair by Viva La Blonde for L'Oreal Colour Trophy

Our L’Oreal Colour Trophy Looks!

The L’Oreal Colour Trophy is just around the corner and we are so happy to announce that both Chantelle and Emma have been asked to go through to the finals!

The L’Oreal Colour Trophy is the longest running hair competition in the world. It began 63 years ago in 1954! The competition showcases the most talented hairdressers globally, and it’s a chance for them to get creative and share what inspires them in their profession.

This year the competition has pushed hair colourists to create a look “worthy of a consumer fashion magazine cover.” The advice from L’Oreal was that colour is key. The model’s hair is to be cut, coloured and styled and inspiration should be drawn from the recent colour trends of 2018.

If you haven’t had a chance to read the colour trends of 2018 blog here check it out now.

Neon hair is trending courtesy of Kim Kardashian’s neon look and influential bloggers such as Cherie Madeleine. Rustic Mauve is also trending thanks to IT girl Hailey Baldwin. Think of it as a a mix of pink and champagne colour.

Check out both of the viva la blonde L’Oreal Colour Trophy 2019 Finalist looks below and find out what inspired them!

Chantelle’s L'Oreal Colour Trophy Look

What inspired the look?

We were inspired by soft pink sorbet for Charlie's look. To create Charlie’s look, we Lightened her hair to a creamy blonde using lots of highlights.

Following this we used the L’Oreal Metallics in shade .26 Pink Sorbet for a fun pink that made her green eyes pop.  We mixed the pink with clear and applied to some sections of her hair underneath for a varied look.
